First post!

For several months now (years? maybe), I’ve been stuck in a circle that goes more or less like this:

1. <undoubtedly unoriginal thought>
2. self, you should tell the World about that! write it down, make the infinite monkeys on the interwebs laugh at you!
3. Yeah, that would be cool… something like a bliki would be great, then I could blog but still go back and edit old posts and not have to repost, or not have people not notice the change.
4. Yeah!
5. hmm… not too many blikis out there… there are blogs that wiki, and wikies that blog, but they all suck. I might as well just use wordpress, which sucks, but at least there is a horde of monkeys keeping the suckage down
6. dude, no! you’ve got to roll your own!
7. yeah!

This time I seem to have avoided step 6 and 7 by an act of daring and cunning that involved complex mindgames and staying up waiting to give Pedro his 2am antibiotic.

Also, wordpress now comes with a blogger import tool out of the box, so I’ve been able to snarf all the old posts from 2004-2005. Excellent! Now I’ve got to find a place to dump the old photos so that it all works again. And clean up some broken css…
